Police release image of man as inquiries into threats continue - Manly

Police have released images of a man they believe can assist with inquiries after threats were made to members of the public in Sydney's northern beaches yesterday.

About 4.30pm (Friday 26 April 2019), police were called to Little Manly Cove Beach and Manly Wharf after reports a man was threatening members of the public and claiming to be in possession of a firearm.

No sighting of a firearm has been reported by the public.

Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his late 20s, with an average build, short black hair, and depicted wearing a navy-blue jacket with white stripes around the collar, denim jeans, and white shoes with black laces and blue stripes on the sides.

The public is encouraged to visit NSW Police Force social media pages to view an image of the man described.

Anyone with information that may assist inquiries is urged to come forward.
