Police are reappealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Parramatta.

Pillay Sanjaey, aged 27, was last seen about 4.30pm on Thursday 25 August 2022, exiting a rideshare vehicle on Thunderbolt Drive at Raby.

When he failed to contact family or friends later that day, police attached to Campbelltown City and Parramatta Police Area Commands were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Since that time, a coordinated search of bushland near Kooringa Reserve, St Andrews, involving specialist police, State Emergency Service (SES) and Rural Fire Service (RFS) crews has been underway.

Police hold serious concerns for Pillay's welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Pillay is described as being of Indian/Sub-continental appearance, between 180cm and 188cm tall, of medium build, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded jumper, yellow hat, and black backpack.

Anyone with information into Pillay's whereabouts is urged to contact Parramatta Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The search continues.
