Police have charged a further four people following investigations into two shooting incidents that occurred in the Mackay Northern Beaches area on 8 July.
Around 2.10am on 8 July, police were called to reports of shots fired outside an Andergrove Road licensed premises in Andergrove.
It will be alleged four people drove to the premises before firing several shots at an unoccupied vehicle and three men and one woman were charged in relation to this incident.
On 11 July, a 23-year-old Bucasia man was arrested for allegedly possessing and discharging a firearm on 8 July at Andergrove.
He has been charged with one count each of unlawful possession of weapons, and reckless discharge of weapon towards building or vehicle. He has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 18 August.
On 14 July, detectives from Mackay Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) executed a search warrant at an East Mackay address and arrested a 31-year-old East Mackay man.
He has been charged with one count of unlawful trafficking in weapons and has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 16 July.
Later the same day, Mackay officers executed a search warrant at a Beaconsfield address and charged a 44-year-old Beaconsfield man with possessing dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine), possessing utensils, and unlawful possession of weapons. He was issued a notice to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 8 September.
A 33-year-old Bucasia woman was also charged with possessing dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine), and possessing utensils. She was issued a notice to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 18 August.
On 15 July, Mackay CIB detectives executed a crime scene warrant at a North Mackay address and arrested a 31-year-old North Mackay man.
He has been further charged with one count each of unlawful trafficking in weapons and contravene direction, and is due to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 16 July.
