Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Carole Park

A motorcyclist has died following a two vehicle crash in Carole Park last night.

Preliminary investigations indicate just before 8pm the motorcycle was travelling westbound on the Logan Motorway when it collided with a hatchback travelling in the same direction, near the onramp of the Centenary Highway.

Sadly, a 53-year-old North Ipswich man was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 48-year-old North Ipswich woman, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old Walloon woman, and a 21-year-old Flinders View male passenger, were not seriously injured.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam of the incident to contact police.
