Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Tugun

A 25-year-old NSW man has died after his motorcycle collided with a water truck at Tugun this morning.

Preliminary information indicates that around 6.30am the two northbound vehicles were involved in a nose to tail collision on the Pacific Motorway.

The male rider sustained critical injuries and passed away at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 35-year-old man, was not physically injured.

Gold Coast District Forensic Crash Unit have begun investigations into the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
