Police responding to fatal single-vehicle crash at Sutton Forest

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state's Southern Highlands yesterday.

About 9.10pm (Saturday 31 August 2019), a motorist travelling along the Hume Highway at Sutton Forrest, about 400m north of Sallys Corner Road, located a Mazda utility on the median strip of the road that had crashed.

Police believe the vehicle was travelling northbound when it left the road and collided with trees, causing it to roll.

The male driver was declared deceased at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

Officers from The Hume Police District attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
