Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Ipswich 17 February

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal three-vehicle traffic crash in Purga at Ipswich yesterday, February 16.

Initial investigations indicate around 9.20am, a Toyota Camry was travelling east on Ipswich Boonah Road when it crashed with two vehicles travelling west.

The driver of the Toyota Camry, a 19-year-old Boonah man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The other two drivers were treated for minor injuries at the scene before being transported by emergency services to hospital for assessment.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage are urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
