The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two vehicle traffic crash in Manyung, near Goomeri, this morning.
Police were called to a crash involving a LDV dual cab utility and a Mazda 121 on the Bunya Highway between Heaths Road and Holznagal Road at 5am. Initial investigations indicate the cars were travelling in opposite directions when they collided.
The driver and sole occupant of the Mazda, a 48-year-old Goomeri man, died at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the LDV, a 25-year-old man, has been transported to hospital in a stable condition.
Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact police.
