Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Broadbeach

A man has died following a serious traffic crash involving a car and pedestrian at Broadbeach on 24 August.

Initial investigations indicate around 3.25pm, the pedestrian was struck by a Mitsubishi Triton at the intersection of the Gold Coast Highway and Victoria Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 30-year-old Burleigh Waters man, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries but passed away yesterday, 10 September.

The 17-year-old male driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident and returned a negative roadside test for alcohol and drugs.

The Forensic Crash Unit who are investigating the incident are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam to the come forward.
