Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Capalaba 1 October

A man has died following a traffic crash in Capalaba early this morning, 1 October.

Around 3am a black Suzuki GSX-R1000 was travelling east on Duncan Road when it stuck the rear of a semi trailer that was stationary at road works traffic lights, near the intersection with Redland Bay Road.

The rider, a 42-year-old Runcorn man, died at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 41-year-old Bellbowrie man, was not physically injured.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with relevant vision to contact police.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.
