Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Townsville 27 March

A teenage boy has succumbed to his injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Townsville last night, 26 March.

Around 10.15pm, emergency services were called to the intersection of Fulham Road and Nathan Street, Vincent following reports that a trailbike had collided with a grey Subaru Forester.

The trailbike rider, a 16-year-old Heatley boy, suffered critical injuries and was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a life-threatening condition.

The teenage boy has since succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased today, 27 March.

The 33-year-old woman driving the Subaru was not physically injured.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision of the incident or of the trailbike prior to the crash to contact police.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.
