Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Maudsland

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal three vehicle traffic crash at Maudsland yesterday, 10 May.

Investigations indicate that around 12pm, a Mitsubishi ASX station wagon, a Mazda 3 hatchback and a Mazda BT-50 dual cab utility collided on Maudsland Road.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 41-year-old Coomera woman, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The other occupant of the Mitsubishi, an 11-year-old girl, was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition but is now stable.

The occupants of the two Mazda vehicles were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital as a precaution.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are underway by the Forensic Crash Unit, who are appealing to anyone with relevant information or dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward.
