Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Kabra 14 May

Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred in Kabra on 24 April.

Around 10.05am, initial investigations indicate a white Mazda CX-5 was travelling westbound on the Capricorn Highway when it veered off the lane and collided with a parked Kenworth truck.

The driver of the Mazda, an 83-year-old Duingal man, was transported to Rockhampton Hospital but died as a result of his injuries on 13 May.

The passenger of the Mazda, a 79-year-old Duingal woman, was transported to Rockhampton Hospital and remains in a stable condition.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who has relevant dashcam vision, to come forward.

The investigation is ongoing.
