Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Veteran

A motorbike rider has died following a traffic crash in Veteran, Gympie.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Craft Road and Sandy Creek Road around 3.22pm today, 29 July, following reports a 45-year-old Gympie man had been located deceased.

Initial investigations indicate the rider sustained critical injuries following a single-vehicle motorbike crash sometime between yesterday, 28 July and today.

Police are appealing to anyone with relevant information, including CCTV or dashcam of a black 2009 BMW K1300 motorcycle near the scene of the crash, to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
