Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Ferny Hills

Police are investigating a two vehicle crash in Ferny Hills on Sunday, February 6 that claimed the life of a man in his 20s.

Initial information indicates at about 12:30pm, a car was heading toward Samford on Samford Road near the intersection with Ancaster Road when it collided with a car heading in the opposite direction.

The drivers of both vehicles, a Brisbane man and a 45-year-old Everton Hills woman, were transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The male passenger of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are seeking any witnesses or motorists with relevant dashcam footage to contact them.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
