Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Holland Park

A motorbike rider has died following a collision with a vehicle in Holland Park this afternoon, Thursday September 29.

Preliminary information indicates around 3.15pm a black Mercedes sedan was travelling southbound along Logan Road near Abbotsleigh Street when a collision occurred with a black honda motorbike travelling in the opposite direction.

Multiple bystanders provided assistance ahead of the emergency response, conducting CPR on the injured rider, a 25-year-old Holland Park man. He was transported in a critical condition to hospital where he passed away.

The driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.

The road was closed for several hours, reopening just after 6pm.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash, of the moments leading up to it to come forward.
