Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Palen Creek

A man has died in a single motorcycle crash at Palen Creek this afternoon, Saturday November 5.

Preliminary information indicates around 1.30pm an orange 2022 KTM 690 Enduro was travelling north along the Mount Lindsay Highway just south of Boonah-Rathdowney Road when the rider has left the road and struck a pole.

A passing motorist raised the alarm and provided assistance to the rider, a 58-year-old Southport man, ahead of the emergency response however he died from his injuries at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit will investigate and are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash, or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
