Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Caboolture South

A 77-year-old woman has died following a traffic crash at Caboolture South yesterday morning.

Initial investigations indicate around 9:25am, the 77-year-old Burpengary woman was walking near Market Drive before she was struck by a silver 2017 Toyota Hilux.

The woman was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition, where she has since died as a result of her injuries.

The driver of the Hilux was not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or have dashcam/CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
