Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Emu Park

Police are investigating following a fatal traffic crash in Emu Park yesterday afternoon, July 14.

Initial investigations indicate that around 1.30pm yesterday, a car towing a trailer and two motorcycles were all travelling south on Emu Park Road.

A 51-year-old man riding one motorcycle struck the rear of the trailer coming off the bike and colliding with another motorcyclist who also fell off.

The 51-year-old man was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital and later died.

The 51-year-old man riding the second motorcycle sustained minor injuries, while the 75-year-old female driver of the car was not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for any witnesses or dashcam of the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
