Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating a single vehicle crash at Rosenthal Heights in which a man has died.
Preliminary inquiries indicate around 6.30pm a car was headed west on Washpool Road when it has left the road and hit a tree.
A passenger in the car, a local man in his 70's, died at the scene.
The driver and another passenger were taken to hospital for minor injuries.
Investigations are continuing.
