Police are on scene of a fatal truck crash in Sydney's Southwest.
About 12.30am (Monday 5 January 2026), emergency services were called to the M7 Motorway near Elizabeth Drive, Cecil Hills, after reports of a crash.
At the scene, police were told that a truck had crashed into a barrier before catching alight and rolling.
Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze. The body of the driver was located within the vehicle.
Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command have established a crime scene and an invetsgtaion into the incident has commenced.
All southbound lanes of the M7 Motorway between Elizabeth Drive and Cowpasture Road are closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
