Police responding to fatal vehicle crash at Tumbarumba

A man has died after a single-vehicle collision in state's south.

About 2.30am on Thursday (28 September 2023), emergency services were called to Bago Forest Road, Tumbarumba, following reports of a single vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Riverina Police District located a black Ford utility that had crashed into a guard rail.

Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, the 70-year-old driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
