Police responding to serious bike crash at Cairns

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious bike crash that occurred in Whitfield on Friday night, September 15.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 8.20pm, a bicycle was travelling north along McManus Street when it struck a parked car.

The rider, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Cairns Hospital.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision or CCTV from the surrounding area to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
