Police responding to serious traffic crash at Gympie 17 November

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred in Gympie this morning, November 17.

Initial investigations indicate at around 8.30am, a Kawasaki motorbike with one rider and a Nissan sedan collided at the intersection of Louisa Street and Musgrave Street.

The motorcycle rider, a 21-year-old Toogoolawah man, sustained critical injuries and was transported to hospital.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 36-year-old Gympie woman, was transported to hospital for monitoring.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
