Police Responding To Serious Traffic Crash At Hamilton

Police have arrested four people following a serious traffic crash involving a stolen vehicle at Hamilton this morning, 7 April.

Emergency services were initially called to Kingsford Smith Drive near Cooksley Street around 4:28am following reports of a three-vehicle crash involving a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover, a 2026 Mazda CX-60, and a 2024 Toyota Hiace.

Upon arrival, officers identified that the Land Rover was reported stolen from a Beverley Crescent, Broadbeach Waters address overnight.

The occupants of the Land Rover, a 17-year-old Capalaba boy, a 16-year-old Rochedale South boy, a 16-year-old Loganholme boy and a 14-year-old Upper Mount Gravatt girl were taken into custody a short distance away from the crash.

All four were taken to hospital under police guard.

The occupants of the Mazda, a 25-year-old and a 30-year-old man, both from Toowong, where transported to hospital for treatment.

The single occupant of the Toyota, a 41-year-old Spring Mountain man, reportedly did not sustain physical injuries.

Investigators from both the Hendra Criminal Investigation Branch and Brisbane Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for anyone with relevant information or vision to come forward.

Parts of Kingsford Smith Drive will remain closed this morning while investigations are ongoing.
