Police responding to serious traffic crash at Robina

Police are investigating a serious traffic crash in Robina last night Sunday April 24.

Around 6.15pm emergency services were called to Olympus Drive following a collision between a man riding an electric skateboard and a black Mazda 3 hatchback.

Preliminary enquiries indicate the male rider was travelling south on Olympus Drive when he was hit by the car turning right into the terminating end of Olympus Drive, which is a large loop road.

The driver of the vehicle was not physically injured. The rider was transported in a critical condition to Gold Coast University Hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses, especially those with recorded vision capturing the rider travelling in and around Olympus Drive in the lead up to the crash, to come forward.
