Police responding to serious traffic crash at Woolloongabba

Investigators are appealing for witnesses and dashcam vision of a crash at Woolloongabba late this afternoon.

Preliminary investigations indicate at 5.55pm a red hatchback was travelling south on Leopard Street heading onto the Pacific Motorway onramp.

Once the hatchback crossed through the intersection of Stanley Street is has struck a male pedestrian crossing the on ramp.

The pedestrian, a 26-year-old Coopers Plains man, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The driver of the car was not physically injured.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam vision is urged to contact police.
