Police responding to serious traffic crash at Elanora

Police are investigating a serious traffic crash in Elanora last night.

Around 9.45pm, a Subaru Outback was travelling west on Guineas Creek Road when the driver lost control and the vehicle left the road and collided with a power pole.

One of the rear passengers, aged 16, suffered a serious head injury and the front passenger, also aged 16, suffered leg injuries. They were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

The 17-year-old driver and a 16-year-old passenger were not physically injured.

Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
