Police responding to serious traffic crash at Lytton

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious single vehicle traffic crash involving a moped which occurred in Lytton on April 7.

Preliminary investigations indicate the moped crashed after hitting a traffic island at the intersection of the Port of Brisbane Motorway and Export Street at around 2.40pm.

The rider, a 21-year-old Hemmant man, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with significant head injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.

No one else was injured during the crash and at this stage no other vehicles are thought to be involved.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have seen the moped on Pritchard Street or at the intersection of Port of Brisbane Motorway and Export Street.

Officers are also appealing with anyone with dashcam vision from the area at the time of the crash to contact police.
