Police responding to traffic crash at Fortitude Valley

Investigators are appealing for witnesses after a woman was hit by a ute in Fortitude Valley early this morning.

Preliminary inquiries indicate at 2.45am the woman was crossing Ann Street at the intersection of Brunswick when she has been hit by a ute travelling on Ann Street.

The 19-year-old woman was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

The 58-year-old man driving the ute was not physically injured in the incident.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam vision to contact police.
