Dangerous Driving Incident: Two Youths Arrested

Northern Territory Police have arrested two youths overnight following an investigation into a dangerous driving incident involving a stolen vehicle in Katherine on Thursday.

About 10:50pm, members from Katherine General Duties and Strike Force Cerberus arrested a 13-year-old male in relation to the incident.

The youth has been charged with:

  • Steal Motor Vehicle;
  • Theft; and
  • Drive Motor Vehicle in a Dangerous Manner.

He has also been charged in relation to the unlawful use of another motor vehicle allegedly stolen in July.

About 12:30am this morning, police arrested a 15-year-old male who has been charged with:

  • Ride in Stolen Motor Vehicle; and
  • Breach of Bail.

Both youths remain in police custody and are expected to appear before court at a later date.

Police continue to investigate the incident and are actively working to identify and locate the remaining youths involved.
