Police search at Bagdad for burglary offenders

Investigations are continuing and Police are appealing for information after a search at Bagdad overnight for offenders who fled into bushland after a burglary at a private property.

The offenders – there are believed to be at least two – fled in their vehicle into bushland and then on foot after the owners of the East Bagdad Rd property arrived home around 8.15pm and disturbed the burglary.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious, including a blue Subaru Liberty sedan, in the Bagdad area last night.

Police utilised a drone with infrared capability to locate the vehicle which was then seized for forensic examination.

Police continued to search the area using the drone, on foot and in vehicles for some time throughout the night but did not locate the offenders.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 131 444.
