Police are appealing for public assistance as they search for missing man Russel.
The 75-year-old was last seen at a care facility in Abbotsford about 8.45am today.
Russel has possibly been sighted at the Collingwood Children's Farm about 12pm and on the Yarra River Trail, near Victoria Street, about 1pm.
Police and family hold concerns for Russel's welfare due to his age and a medical condition.
He was last seen wearing a marron shirt and black pants.
Police have released an image of Russel and a CCTV image him leaving the facility in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his current whereabouts.
Anyone who sees Russel is urged to contact Collingwood Police Station on 8413 1700.
