Police and emergency services are conducting a search in Gulf St Vincent for a missing kayaker.
The alarm was raised just before 11pm Tuesday 17 March, after relatives contacted police with concerns for the man in his 70's after he failed to return from a kayaking trip off Middle Beach.
Police immediately commenced a search of the area, coordinated by the Water Operations Unit, utilising Polair with infrared camera capabilities and resources from Volunteer Marine Rescue.
The man was not located overnight and the search will continue at first light this morning.
Anyone with information or who spots a kayak in the search area is urged to contact police immediately on 131 444.
