Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Northcote woman Margaret.
It is believed the 78-year-old left her Northcote home between 3 and 6am this morning.
Police and family have concerns for Margaret's welfare as she has a medical condition.
Margaret is described as being about 167cm tall with a slim build, green eyes and grey hair.
She was last seen wearing a beige jumper, black or blue jeans, black shoes, and is possibly carrying a red bag.
Investigators have released an image of Margaret in the hope someone recognises her and can provide information on her current whereabouts.
It's believed she may have attempted to travel to a previous address in Preston which no longer exists.
Margaret is known travel by public transport.
