Police Seek Help After St Kilda Burglaries

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated and attempted aggravated burglary in St Kilda last weekend.

It is believed an unknown male attended an apartment complex on Wellington Street about 6am on Saturday 1 November.

The offender broke into an apartment, stealing cosmetics, jewellery and the victim's wallet before fleeing.

The sole occupant of the residence was asleep at the time and was not injured.

Shortly after, the offender has attended a neighbouring property, attempting to gain access through an open window.

The sole occupant of the property confronted the offender, who fled the scene.

There were no injuries.

The offender is described as Caucasian with a dark beard and was wearing a pink bucket hat, black hooded jumper and was carrying multiple shopping bags.

Investigators have released an image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
