Police seek help to find missing man at Karawatha Forest

Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a 21-year-old man who went missing from Karawatha Forest this afternoon.

Kassim Nasiri was last seen in the car park of the Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre at 149 Acacia Road as part of a group around 2pm.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition and may be disorientated and unable to find his way home.

A search and rescue helicopter is searching, and police are conducting extensive patrols of Karawatha forest, local roads and local train stations.

Kassim is described as of Indian appearance, approximately 180cm tall with a slim build, dark hair, a moustache and brown eyes.

He is wearing a light blue shirt and combat pants.

Anyone who has seen him or has information regarding his location, is urged to contact police.
