Police Seek Info After Elderly Woman Found in Hazelbrook

An unidentified woman who was located in the Blue Mountains has now been positively identified.

About 4.30pm on Wednesday 26 June 2025, emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway, Hazelbrook, following reports a woman was found unresponsive in bushes near a pedestrian overpass.

She was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to Nepean Hospital for further treatment.

The woman had no identification and was unable to communicate with medical staff.

Following a public appeal for assistance she has now been identified as 78-year-old woman.

The woman remains in a stable condition at Nepean Hospital.

Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
