Police Seek Information After Assault - Wentworthville

Police are appealing for information following an assault at a train station in Sydney's west earlier this month.

Around 9pm on Saturday 2 August 2025 emergency services responded to reports of an assault at Pendle Hill Railway Station.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were told upon arrival a 26-year-old man was assaulted by an unknown man.

It's understood the victim was approached by the unknown man at the entrance to the Railway Station, who told the victim to leave the area.

As the victim waited on the platform for a train, the unknown man again approached the victim and physically assaulted him.

Investigators from the Police Transport Command North West have taken carriage of the investigation and have released images of a man who might assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, between 20 and 30-years-old, and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing a grey beanie, a grey hooded jumper, grey track pants, dark running shoes, and was carrying a black shoulder bag.
