Police Seek Information After Assault - Strathfield

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into an assault in Sydney's inner-west in June.

About 5.30am on Wednesday 24 June 2026, police were called to Strathfield Railway Station, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to Police Transport Command were told a 53-year-old male had been assaulted by an unknown man.

The 53-year-old man was treated for minor injuries.

Police commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries are ongoing, police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with enquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, 180-185cm tall, thin build, and brown wavy shoulder length hair.

He is described as wearing a fluorescent orange and blue long-sleeved jumper over a red hooded jumper, tan coloured cargo pants, dark steel-capped work boots and a blue hat.
