Police Seek Information After Assault At Hurstville

Police are appealing for public assistance as an investigation continues into an alleged assault in Sydney's south.

About 8.10pm on Monday 22 December 2025, police were called to a licensed premises on Forest Road, Hurstville, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to St George Police Area Command were told a 26-year-old man was assaulted by a man unknown to him.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established as police commenced an investigation into the incident.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released CCTV footage and images of a man who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 50s, about 175cm tall, of medium build, with black hair.

He is depiected wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, black shoes and a black cap.
