Police Seek Information After Assault At Port Macquarie

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Port Macquarie last night.

About 10.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 12 November 2025), emergency services were called to the corner of Buller and Hollingsworth Street, Port Macquarie, following reports of an assault.

Police have been told a man was walking along Buller Street when he became involved in an argument with a group of men in a passing car who began to throw objects at the man.

The man kicked the vehicle, before the group exited the car and assaulted him, knocking him to the ground.

The men returned to and left in the vehicle – described as a silver Mazda – and emergency services were contacted by a member of the public.

The 45-year-old man was treated at the scene before being taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital for the treatment of head and facial injuries.

A crime scene was established and inquiries into the incident commenced by officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District.

As inquiries continue, police wish to speak with three men described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, last seen driving in the area in a silver Mazda.
