Police are appealing for public assistance as they investigate a fire on a boat in Sydney's south last month.
On Saturday, 19April 2025, officers attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command commenced an investigation following a fire at a marina in Mangrove Lane, Taren Point.
About 2am on Saturday 19 April 2025, CCTV footage captures two men entering the marina and climbing on board the commercial vessel "Supercat".
Shortly after, a large flash occurs at the front of the vessel and flames appear. The vessel was destroyed by the fire.
The offenders were last sighted fleeing the scene via a small dinghy in the direction of Captain Cook Bridge.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
