Police seek information after break and enter at Goulburn

Police are appealing for information following a break and enter in the state's south.

Officers from The Hume Police District are investigating after being notified of a break and enter at a home on Combermere Street, Goulburn, between 8pm on Wednesday (3 November 2021) and 2.20pm yesterday (Thursday 4 November 2021).

Police were told four firearms, a compound bow and samurai sword were stolen from the home.

Local police attended and established a crime scene, which has been forensically examined.

An investigation is currently underway and police are urging anyone with information, or dashcam vision from the area, to come forward.

Commander of The Hume Police District, Acting Superintendent Brad Ainsworth said this serves as a reminder for licenced firearms owners of the safe storage requirements of firearms.

"Anyone who owns a firearm must ensure they are stored properly and safely, to ensure they don't end up in the hands of criminals," Acting Superintendent Brad Ainsworth said.
