Police seek information after Chelsea beach incident

Police are continuing to seek information in relation to an incident involving a toddler at Chelsea Beach last month.

Police have been told the 2-year-old girl was at the beach car park with her mother between 6.30pm and 7pm on 31 October, and slipped away when the mother was attending to another child.

Fortunately the toddler was located a short time later.

There is nothing to indicate the child was physically or sexually assaulted in any way during the time she was missing.

A group of teenage girls was with the child when she was located and police are still trying to identify these teens.

Investigators are hopeful they can provide some more details about the whereabouts of the child while it was missing.

Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
