Police Seek Information After Crash - Middleton Grange

Police are appealing for assistance to locate witnesses or dash cam footage following a pedestrian crash in Sydney's south west.

About 9.40am today (Thursday 9 April 2026), emergency services responded to reports a car hit a pedestrian crossing Cowpasture Road, Middleton Grange.

A 76-year-old male pedestrian was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

A 38-year-old female driver was uninjured and underwent a breath test at the scene, which returned a negative result.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit established a crime scene.

The woman was taken to Liverpool Police Station where she was later released without charge pending further investigation.

As inquiries into the circumstances of the crash continue, police are appealing for anyone who might have dashcam footage or who witnessed the crash to come forward.
