Police are appealing for public assistance following a home invasion and serious assault in Gosford at the weekend.
About 8.20pm yesterday (Sunday 31 October 2021), emergency services responded to reports of home invasion on White Street, East Gosford.
Police have been told two unknown males with face coverings gained access to the home by kicking in the front door before seriously assaulting the occupant, a 62-year-old man.
The man suffered serious head injuries and was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Royal North Shore hospital in a stable condition.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
