Police seek information after man stabbed - Roselands

Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed multiple times at Sydney's south west overnight.

Just after midnight (Wednesday 23 December 2020), officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command were called to Payten Avenue, Roselands, following reports a man had been wounded.

Police have been told a 26-year-old man was in Payten Avenue when a sedan stopped nearby and two men, armed with knives, got out and stabbed him several times.

The armed men returned to the car before it drove away.

The injured man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital with serious injuries to his back, chest and legs.

A crime scene was established and officers have commenced an investigation.

Police are searching for two males and two females believed to be involved in the incident.

They were last seen driving a silver sedan.

Detectives are waiting to speak with the man to clarify the circumstances surrounding the attack.
