Police seek information after service station armed robbery at Albury

Police are appealing to the public for information after an armed robbery in a suburb of Albury overnight.

About 4.40am (Saturday 12 June 2021), a man entered a service station on Travelstop Way, Lavington, allegedly threatening the attendant with a firearm and demanding money.

The man stole cash, before leaving the scene on a black motorcycle.

No shots were fired and no one was physically injured during the incident.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District were notified and a crime scene was established.

Police were told the man was wearing a dark helmet, black clothing and black gloves. He was last seen riding towards the Albury CBD.

As part of their inquiries, detectives are urging anyone with information about the incident – or has dashcam footage – to contact Murray River Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
