Police are appealing for information after a woman's bag was snatched as she walked through a shopping centre carpark in Sydney's south-west earlier today.
About 11.40am today (Friday 20 March 2020), a 73-year-old woman parked her car in an underground car park in a shopping centre in Narellan, when she went to move a trolley.
A man came up behind the woman and grabbed her handbag from her hand. The bag contained credit cards, a small amount of cash and a mobile phone.
The man ran to a white-coloured sedan which was waiting nearby, which drove off at high speed.
The woman suffered chest pains as a result of the incident and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police were notified and commenced an investigation. Officers from Camden Police Area Command have canvassed the area; however, haven't been able to identify the man involved.
Investigators have released a description of a man they believe could assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged 18 to 25, 175cm-180cm tall, with a medium build. At the time he was wearing a light-grey hoodie, white jeans, white joggers and a grey scarf wrapped around his head.
